The Foreign Minister of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, said that Tehran does not recognize the Afghan interim government but will continue to cooperate with Afghanistan.
Abdollahian, at a press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, called for the formation of an inclusive government.
“We don’t recognize (it) and we hope to have negotiations with the officials of the Islamic Emirate and see the formation of an inclusive government soon,” Abdollahian said.
Meanwhile, political analysts said that the formation of the inclusive government benefits Afghanistan.
“The issue of an inclusive government is a better option when sides from Islam Qala (in Herat) to Torkham (Nangarhar) and from Wakhan of Badakhshan to Nimroz are included in the government,” said Afghan Yar, a political analyst.
“There is a need for an inclusive government that the Afghans will have a part in; they will work for the development of Afghanistan,” said Samar Sadaat, a political analyst.
The Islamic Emirate did not comment on this; however, it said earlier that the formation of the inclusive government is an internal issue.
After the Islamic Emirate swept into power, many regional and international countries have called for the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan. https://tolonews.com/afghanistan-182423
