RSP to leave the govt formed if demands not met

Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and demanded that the leadership of the Home Ministry be given to his party.

According to sources, Chairman Lamichhane had warned that if the party did not get the seat at the Home Ministry, the country’s government would dissolve .

UML, Maoist Center RSP, RPP, Janata Samajwadi Party, Janmat Party and Nepal Communist Party agreed to form the government. The RSP leader warned that they will withdraw the support given to the government if the demand is not met.

The PM had told the Chairman to not rush and focus on the legal matters at the moment. “What about the legal matter, let’s discuss it once, so that there is no trouble again tomorrow,” Baluwatar source said, quoting the Prime Minister’s statement, “Let us understand what the legal problems are in matters such as passports first.”
