Taliban Face Heavy Retaliation, MoD Operations

At least 53 Taliban fighters were killed in Afghan National Army’s reciprocal attacks.

Ministry of Defense tweeted, that 10 Taliban were killed in Nazian district of Nangarhar province on Friday.

According to the ministry, these insurgents were equipped with a large amount of ammunition and weapons, which were later destroyed by the security force members.

In a similar tweet, MoD reports 12 Taliban fighters were killed in the Qarabagh district of Ghazni province, on Friday night.

They were fully prepared to attack the Afghan National Army, during the clashes ANA destroyed a huge amount of their weapons and ammunition.

This comes as 31 affiliated members of Taliban were killed in Zherai district of Kandahar province, on Friday, MoD stated.

These militants were planning to attack Afghan National Defense and Security Forces’ positions but were battered before targeting ANA.

MoD also indicates, that at least 300 newly trained soldiers were sworn in Herat province.

These soldiers pledged to protect people with all their powers, they are fully prepared to battle terrorists on the field to defend the lives and properties of Afghans, the Ministry of Defense stated.

Earlier, 85 Afghan commandos had received certificates of accomplishing after training under the Afghan National Army Commando Corps.
