The 203rd Thunder Corps stated in a press release on Sunday that its security personnel prevented a mine explosion in Paktia.
According to the statement, a mine planted by the Taliban in the Sayed Karam district of Paktia province on a civilian road was discovered and safely detonated by Corp’s combat engineering battalion.
It is said that by discovering and defusing the mine, security and defense forces were able to prevent a major terrorist explosion, and save the lives of dozens of civilians.
