Kabul police say two people have been injured in a magnetic mine explosion in the 11th district of Kabul’s 500-family district.
Ferdows Faramarz, a spokesman for the Kabul Police Command said on Wednesday, that a hilux-type vehicle was targeted by a mine at around 07:34 am this morning in PD11 of the 500-family area.
Faramarz added that as a result of the explosion, two people were injured and are taken to the hospital.
Kabul and other provinces of the country start the morning with explosions and suicide bombings. The previous day, the deputy governor of Kabul province was killed in a magnetic mine explosion, and in another explosion, the deputy governor of Ghor province lost his life and another member of the council was wounded.
Previously, Deputy Governor for Kabul, Mahboobullah Mohibi, and his secretary was killed in an IED attack, the Interior ministry confirmed.
MoI spokesman Tariq Arian tweeted the incident happened at around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday morning in Macroryan 4 area of PD9, Kabul.
The deputy mayor was killed when a magnetic IED placed on his Toyota Landcruiser exploded.
