The Ministry of Defense Tweeted, that Taliban fighters’ offensive in the Panjwai district of Kandahar province has failed.
Taliban fighters attacked Bulgur, Charkhab, and Gulbagh areas of Kandahar’s Panjwai district on Sunday, the Ministry of Defense indicated.
MoD said Taliban attacks were repelled in the region by the national security forces.
Following the skirmish, 15 Taliban fighters are reported dead and five others are wounded , according to MoD.
Large amount of weapons and ammunition belonging to the group is also destroyed, and five mines planted by the insurgent group were also neutralized.
But the Taliban have not yet commented
In another incident, the Ministry of Interior, Said Four IEDs were defused in the provinces of Kabul, Faryab, and Sar-e-pul.
According to the statement, these operations prevent many civilian casualties.
