Amrullah Saleh, the first vice president, said that according to the National Directorate of Security, “the Taliban have decided to target civil society, it’s members and organizations in Afghanistan’s major cities, who are among the soft targets”.
Saleh posted on Wednesday at his Facebook page that by doing so, the Taliban intend to increase the people’s dissatisfaction with the government by expressing public feelings and emotions.
The first vice president called on civil society to “unite their voices and call on the Taliban and its supporters that by maneuvering violence, ignorance, and assassinations, they cannot break the will of the people.” He added “It has failed in the past”.
Those who had spread “terrible news against schools “on social media had been arrested, Saleh added.
According to Saleh, one of the networks that threatened schools through virtual networks was called “Hamgam Ba Kankor”, and a female teacher who spread terrorist attack rumors in Zarghona school was also identified.https://www.khaama.com/amrullah-saleh-taliban-have-decided-to-target-civil-society/
