BAJAUR: Awami National Party, district chapter, here has rejoined the All Bajaur Political Parties Alliance after leaving it over a month ago in protest against the Jamaat-i-Islami local leadership’s alleged undemocratic act during the oath-taking ceremony of the District Bar Association last month.
The announcement to rejoin the alliance was made by party’s leadership during a meeting with the alliance’s leaders at the residence of ANP district president Gul Afzal Khan here the other day.
The alliance’s delegation, led by its president Gul Kareem Khan, urged the ANP leadership to rejoin the alliance in the larger interest of the area people.
The ANP leadership had left the alliance in protest against the JI leaders’ undemocratic actions during the DBA ceremony in presence of guests and a lawmaker from North Waziristan district.
The alliance leaders informed the ANP stalwarts of the expulsion of Jamaat-i-Islami local chapter from the alliance over the October 3 incident and said they valued the efforts of the nationalist party for rights of the people. https://www.dawn.com/news/1590448/anp-rejoins-bajaur-political-alliance
