Kunduz Officials reports heavy clashes between the Taliban and Security forces in Dasht-e-Archi district of Kunduz province.
Provincial officials told media, the battle between the parties has been going on since last night and reinforcement had been sent to the province in support of government forces.
According to reports, three security forces are killed and three others are wounded in the skirmish, while eight Taliban militants are reported dead and further 13 injured.
The government is trying to repel the attack, which took place at a time Taliban forces attacked security outposts in the region.
Meanwhile, officials of Faryab province say, five children were injured when a mine exploded in the Qaisar district of Faryab province.
According to Faryab police spokesman, Abdul Karim Yuresh, the incident took place on Sunday evening in the village of Jarlaq in Qaisar district.
