Prisoners escape from Gilgit jail: The Dawn, July 13

GILGIT, July 12: Two prisoners escaped from jail here on Sunday.
According to police, cases against the accused were under-trial in various courts. Police identified them as Sajid and Nasir.
Meanwhile, the courts in Gilgit-Baltistan were closed for summer vacation, officials said.
The courts usually remain closed from July 12 and resume work on August 1 every year, they added. However, a judge has also been appointed to dispose off urgent cases.
