93 border areas schools remain closed for 14th day Report in the Nation, November 04, 2016

SIALKOT –  Due to Indian shelling, 93 government schools in Sialkot border villages remained closed for the 14th consecutive day on Thursday.

Thus, the district administration issued directives to the Education Department to make arrangements to shift the government schools located in border areas to safer places.
The step had been taken to avert the further educational loss of the students of these government schools that are closed for the last two-weeks in Indian shelling-hit border villages, DCO Asif Tufail said.

He said that 93 government schools have been closed in Sialkot border villages due to Indian shelling for the last two weeks.
All the government and private schools remained closed in Sialkot border villages for the fourteenth consecutive day due to unprovoked Indian shelling.

He said that the mounted border tension was still prevailing in the border villages in Bajwat, Chaprar, Sucheetgarh, Harpal, Merajkey, Charwah, Zafarwal and Shakargarh sectors along the Sialkot Working Boundary.

He added that the people residing in the Sialkot border villages have already been shifted to the safer places with their cattle in Sialkot city and its surroundings.

He said that the closed schools would be reopened after the tense border situation returns to normality.http://nation.com.pk/national/04-Nov-2016/93-border-areas-schools-remain-closed-for-14th-day
