8 ISIS loyalists killed in air and ground operations in Nangarhar Khaama Press, Apr 05 2016,

At least 8 militants affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group were killed during an operation in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the operations were conducted in Achin district involving the Afghan air and ground forces.
A statement by MoD said at least four suspects were also arrested during an operation in Sukh Rod district of the same province.
The Afghan national security forces have stepped up counter-terrorism operations against the militant groups in different parts of the country in a bid to suppress the activities of the groups.
Achin district was once the stronghold of ISIS loyalists from where majority of the terrorist related incidents were reported in the past.
However, the group has received major setbacks during the recent months as the Afghan security forces as well as US forces have increased operations to prevent the terror group expand its foothold.
