23 Taliban militants killed in Kunduz airstrikes: MoD By KHAAMA PRESS – Wed Jul 27 2016

At least 23 Taliban insurgents were killed during airstrikes in the restive Kunduz province in North of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said Wednesday.
According to a statement by MoD, the airstrikes were carried out in Dasht-e-Archi and Qala-e-Zal districts in the past 24 hours.
The statement further added that the artillery units of the Afghan National Army (ANA) forces also pounded the Taliban hideouts in the two districts.
According to MoD, at least three Taliban insurgents also sustained injuries during the airstrikes in Qala-e-Zal and Dasht-e-Achi.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the report so far.
Kunduz is among the relatively volatile provinces in North of Afghanistan where the anti-government armed militant groups are actively operating and frequently carry out insurgency activities.
The Taliban militants launched a major attack to capture the strategic Kunduz city by launching its spring offensive earlier this year but the attack was repulsed by the Afghan forces.
Taliban insurgents briefly took control of the strategic city last year but the Afghan forces recaptured it by conducting a major operation.http://www.khaama.com/23-taliban-militants-killed-in-kunduz-airstrikes-mod-01585
