Two suspected militants of the banned militant outfit Jama’at ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (New JMB) have been arrested from East Madarbari area in Chittagong.
Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit (CTTC) arrested them with 10 grenades on Monday night.
The arrestees are Asfaqur Rahman alias Rasel, 22, of Mymensingh, and Rakibul Hasan Jony alias Salahuddin, 19, of Comilla.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Detective Branch (DB) of Police A A M Humayun Kabir said a CTTC team raided on a house in the area around 11:30pm and arrested them with the grenades and explosives.
