At least 12 Taliban insurgents including their two commanders were killed in a clash with Afghan security forces in Helmand province, 2015 Maiwand Military Corps said in a statement on Tuesday.
The battle took place in Nad Ali district after a group of Taliban fighters attacked a military outpost and started gunfight against the forces, the statement added.
It said that the security forces have sized a number of weapons during the clash.
No casualty was suffered by security forces in the conflict, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, Helmand police officials said that military operations will continue in the province to eliminate all insurgents.
