Minister of agriculture survives bomb blast in southern Afghanistan: report in Khaama Press, Feb 18 2016, 8:05 pm

Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has survived a bomb blast in southern Afghanistan.

Asadullah Zamir was on his way from Kandahar to Helmand when a bomb went off on his convoy this afternoon.

Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock says the blast did not have casualties but it damaged a vehicle.

Zamir has been on a visit in southern Afghanistan assessing opportunities for strengthening the agriculture sector.

He met local authorities and farmers of Urozgan and Kandahar provinces in past two days, listened to their suggestions and shared with them his plans for improvement.
