LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab conducted 244 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in various cities of Punjab and arrested 22 suspects including 14 terrorists of TTP. Six suspects were arrested from Lahore, six from Rawalpindi, six from Bahawalpur, three from Gujranwala and one each from Bahawalnagar, Nankana, Faisalabad and one from Sheikhupura.
BLA Chief Commander Arshad was arrested from Bahawalpur.
Two 2 ED bombs, one hand grenade, 28 detonators, a prima card and 20 safety fuses were recovered from the terrorists.
The terrorists were identified as Sufyan, Parvez, Tauqeer, Hikamatullah, Faizan Haider, Amir, Abdul Rashid and Hasnain. The terrorists were planning attacks on law-enforcing agencies.
At least 4164 suspects were arrested in 1289 combing operations this week. Around 55,317 people were questioned during combing operations.
