Taliban incurred AFN 2.1 billion loss to Afghanistan in 2 months: ARG Khaama Press, Oct 29 2016

The Taliban-led insurgency incurred a loss of almost 1 billion Afghanis on monthly basis as the group increased attacks across the country in the past two months, officials in ARG Presidential Palace said Saturday.
President Ghani’s Deputy spokesman Shah Hussain Murtazvi told reportes today that the group incurred a total loss of 2,149,000,000 loss by targeting the government and public compounds.
He said the Taliban has left a legacy of murders, executions and violence during the past 20 years which includes their rein in mid-90s and insurgency after their regime was toppled down.
Murtazvi further added that the group has not only incurred collateral damage to the country but has also increased violence against the civilians in the past two months.
Calling the attacks on civilians and public infrastructures as a crime againt humanity, Murtazvi said the group has destroyed 2 bridges and over 170 culverts during the period.
According to Murtazvi, the group has also destroyed 302 schools, 41 health facilities, and 50 mosques in the past two months.
Murtazvi appeared in a press conference this afternoon as a delegation has been formed to assess and assist the Afghan civilians who sustained losses as a result of the Taliban-led insurgency.
