CHAKWAL: The president of the Insaf Lawyers Forum, Northern Areas, Raja Sanaul, has announced to quit the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in protest against Imran Khan’s joining of hands with opportunists and landlords.
He was addressing a press conference at his residence here on Wednesday. He said that he had been a diehard activist of the PPP till 1994, but quit it when the Legharis hijacked the party. He said that after leaving the party, he had contested the general elections as an independent candidate in the district.
He claimed that he had joined the PML-N after the dismissal of the Nawaz government when all the party leaders left it and worked for the betterment of the party. He said that he left the PML-N when Nawaz Sharif joined hands with the PML-Q local leaders. He said that he had joined the PTI as Imran Khan’s slogans for a change were very appealing. “I was very disappointed when Imran joined hands with Sheikh Rasheed,” he maintained.
