Madrasa teacher goes missing

Gopalganj: A teacher of Mahadus Shaik Al Islami Madrasa in Madaninagar of Narayanganj went missing from Shimulia Bus Stand area of Munshiganj while he was on the way to Dhaka from Gopalganj on July 3.
The victim was Abu Syeed Sheikh, 24, son of Ali Sheikh of Ghoserchar Uttopara village in Sadar upazila.
Victim’s cousin Fakhrul Alam said they had searched for Abu Syeed at every possible place for past seven days but found no trace of him.
Abu Syeed joined the madrasa two months back, he said.
They were preparing to file a case with Munshiganj police station over the missing incident, he added.
The madrasa authorities said they had been informed the matter and took steps to find out him.
They had started drive to search every clinic, hospital and possible places.
Meanwhile, a moazzin of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University mosque Md Shah Alam, son of Shahid Talukdar of Maijkandi village of Kasiani upazila, also went missing on the same day.
Golam Rabbi, younger brother of Shah Alam, said he had tried to reach his brother over mobile phone several times. But he was failed as the cell phone switched off.
