G-B masses most deprived of rights, says Imran: by Meraj Alam in the Nation, May 18, 2015

GILGIT – Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan said that people of Gilgit-Baltistan are the most deprived of their rights. “Change in Gilgit-Baltistan will come after general elections,” he stated this while addressing a public gathering at Lalik Jan Stadium, Gilgit on Sunday via telephone from Islamabad. The PTI chief said that he would visit Gilgit very soon.
He said the two parties would continue looting the country, including G-B, if there was no PTI. “PTI is a new but a very strong political force in Gilgit-Baltistan,” he added. He said appointment of a non-local as governor is a clear violation of Article 101 (ii) of the constitution.
Earlier, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan postponed his visit to Gilgit-Baltistan and Karachi due to bad weather condition. Imran Khan was due to fly for Gilgit Sunday through a private aircraft to address three public gatherings.
However, the Civil Aviation (CA) did not give clearance to his aircraft due to rough weather condition, prompting the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief to defer his visit. http://nation.com.pk/national/18-May-2015/g-b-masses-most-deprived-of-rights-says-imran
