MARDAN – Former prime minister and senior leader of Pakistan Peoples’ Party Raja Pervez Ashraf on Saturday called for extending tenure of special military courts to root out militancy and extremism from the country.

Washington: The executive of a Pakistani company was charged in a US federal court on Wednesday for his part in an alleged $140 million ‘fake-diploma mill’ scheme, the latest step in a global crackdown touched off by arrests in Pakistan last year.

CHARSADDA: The local JUI-F leaders on Tuesday said all Fata reforms except the proposed tribal region’s merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were acceptable to them.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Monday denied that Russia had cancelled planned joint military drills with the country in the aftermath of Sunday’s attack on an Indian army base in Uri.
