MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Cabinet on Wednesday approved a raise in the salaries, allowances and privileges of the president, speaker and deputy speaker.
Although the official handout on the proceedings of the cabinet mentioned the decision to enhance the salaries, allowances and privileges of these public officeholders in one sentence towards the end, documents obtained by Dawn showed that the increase ranged from 150 to 250pc.

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary Dr Ijaz Munir has taken strong exception to alleged overpricing by petrol pumps in different parts of the state and has directed the divisional and district administration officials to provide relief to consumers in this regard.

MIRPUR (AJK)-The second round of national consensus and house listing will begin in rest of five AJK district from Tuesday (today), official sources said.
Mirpur district is amongst the five district where consensus is going to commence from Tuesday, AJK Census Commissioner Raja Tariq Mahmood told this Correspondent here on Monday.

MUZAFFARABAD-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to visit AJK capital Muzaffarabad on April 29.
During the visit, the PM will chair a meeting of the ruling arty AJK chapter in addition to other engagements.
