At least two killed, 55 hurt in gas explosions at China restaurant

At least two people were killed and 55 injured in gas explosions at restaurant in eastern China on Friday morning, according to a news website report.
The blasts occurred at about 8.35am at the building in Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, Zjol.com.cn reported
Police believe the explosions were caused by gas cylinders in the restaurant.Windows were blown out and the street was littered with debris Nearby cars, taxis and buses were badly damaged in the blasts.
More than 20 passengers in one bus suffered minor injuries.
Twelve fire engines were sent to the scene of the explosions, according to the report.
“The blasts happened twice. The explosions even shattered windows in shops nearby,” one witness commented online.

Another witness said: “I was in a residential complex at that moment. The buildings within a 300 metre radius of the restaurant seemed to be shaking – like a bomb explosion.”
