25 Taliban insurgents killed an airstrike in East of Afghanistan KHAAMA PRESS – Sun Oct 30 2016

At least 25 insurgents were killed in an airstrike conducted in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said Sunday.
According to MoD, the airstrike was carried out in Sherzad district of Nangarhar, targeting a group of the Taliban insurgents.
The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the report so far.
Nangarhar is among the relatively peaceful provinces in eastern Afghanistan but the anti-government armed militant groups including the Taliban insurgents and loyalists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group are actively operating in a number of its districts.
Local officials in Nangarhar earlier said at least 13 loyalists of ISIS terrorist group were killed in an airstrike in Pacher Agam district.
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) on Saturday said at least 27 ISIS loyalists were killed during the latest counter-terrorism operations in this province.
Both the Afghan forces and the US forces in Afghanistan are conducting regular raids against the Taliban insurgents and ISIS loyalist in the districts where they are conducting insurgency activities.
The US forces increased airstrikes against the Taliban insurgents and ISIS loyalists earlier this year after the Obama administration granted a broader role to the American forces.
