The governor of Bamyan province’s Shibar District has survived a Taliban ambush.
Mohammad Azim Farid, the district governor, after arriving at a safe location said that he was going from Bamyan city to his office in Shibar when he came under Taliban ambush on Saturday.
He said Taliban fired light and heavy weapons on their vehicles but luckily did not hit anyone.
Farid added that including him all passengers of the vehicles survived but one vehicle damaged in the militant fire.

At least 10 Taliban insurgents were killed and 19 others were wounded during a series of air and artillery strikes in northern Faryab province.
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the raids were conducted in the restive Qaisar district of Faryab.
The anti-government armed militant groups including the Taliban insurgents have not commented regarding the report so far.
Faryab is among the relatively volatile provinces in northern Afghanistan where the Taliban insurgents and militants belonging to other insurgent groups are actively operating in a number of its remote districts.

Over 400 leaders of the Taliban group were killed in the past 9 during the operations conducted by the Afghan Special Forces, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials said Wednesday.
MoI spokesman Sediq Sediqi said the Minister of Interior Taj Mohammad Jahid praised the Special Operations Forces of the Afghan National Police during an event in Kabul today.
Minister Jahid said the ongoing violence in Afghanistan is not having roots to insurgency led by Taliban and ISIS loyalists.

The National Security Council of Afghanistan (NSC) was presented a report on deadly attacks against Shi’ites in Kabul for which the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group claimed responsibility.
The Office of the President, ARG Palace, said the NSC meeting was organized in the Presidential Palace and was chaired by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.

The Taliban insurgents have suffered heavy casualties during the clearance operations in northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan.
According to the security authorities in North of Afghanistan, at least 30 militants were killed or wounded during the operations.
The 20th Pamir Division of the Afghan National Army in a statement said several villages were cleared of the insurgents during the operations.
No further details were given regarding the exact locations where the operations were conducted but counter-terrorism operations continue in the outskirts of Kunduz’s provincial capital since few weeks.

BEIJING: The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Wednesday said it was willing to promote the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) with Pakistan.
The statement comes after Islamabad said it would secure soft loans from China totalling around $1 billion for three road projects in the CPEC.

Lahore: The president and vice president of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce were elated after a sum of over Rs0.5 million stolen from their house was recovered by Lahore police within 24 hours, it emerged Monday.
