GB teachers hold demos, demand service structure : Dawn, June 6th, 2014

GILGIT: Demanding service structure and clear rules for their promotion, hundreds of male and female teachers of government schools staged demonstrations in the seven district headquarters of Gilgit Baltistan and announced boycott of classes across the region till June 10. MUZAFFARABAD:  A police officer was killed, while three protesters were injured due to tear gas shelling in Charhoi. PML-N leader Munsifdad Khan  and members of civil society were protesting against the transfer of tehsil headquarters offices to newly-constructed buildings some five kilometres away from Charhoi city when the protest turned violent.
